Speech Pathology with Jacinta

At All About Autism, speech pathology is delivered by Jacinta, our warm and highly experienced paediatric speech pathologist. Known for her calm, child-centred approach, Jacinta creates a space where kids feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow.

Sessions take place in our dedicated therapy room in the AAA garden at our Landsborough centre, supporting children aged 0–12 years.

Jacinta tailors each session to the child in front of her — always guided by what’s most meaningful and supportive for that individual child. Areas she works across include:

  • Early communication – building attention, listening, first words, early play, and social skills

  • Receptive language – supporting understanding of words, instructions, and concepts

  • Expressive language – building vocabulary, sentence formation, storytelling, and grammar

  • Semantics – enhancing word knowledge and retrieval

  • Pragmatics – developing social use of language and interaction skills

  • Executive functioning – supporting planning, organisation, memory, and flexible thinking

  • Articulation – helping with speech sound development and clarity

  • Literacy – including phonological awareness, reading, writing, and spelling
