    Lizzie Vaughan

    DIRECTOR & AUTISM SPECIALIST

    With a Masters in Autism (children) and over 20 years experience supporting children on the autism spectrum, Lizzie is the founder of All About Autism. She is a dedicated specalist with experience working in early intervention settings, primary and special schools.

    Lizzie is committed to providing practical, neuro-affirming support that respects each child’s individual strengths, needs and way of experiencing the world. She has a particular interest in executive functioning, emotional regulation, self-awareness and developing skills that support children’s participation and wellbeing in everyday life. Lizzie continues to build her knowledge through current research and professional learning.

    Sian Goodwin

    AUTISM SPECIALIST

    Sian has extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of developmental, communication and learning needs. Having previously worked with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) in New South Wales, she brings strong knowledge of relationship-based practice, play-based approaches, proactive behaviour support and the TEACCH framework.

    Sian is skilled at recognising and building upon each child’s strengths and interests to support engagement, connection and learning. Her warmth, creativity and fantastic sense of humour help children feel comfortable, understood and valued.

    Caroline Thompson

    AUTISM SPECIALIST

    Caroline has extensive experience supporting children with diverse learning, developmental and disability-related needs. She has previously worked as an Assistant Principal and Head of Special Education in a primary school, supporting children, families and educators throughout their learning journeys.

    Caroline has a particular interest in play-based and visual learning approaches, including Attention Autism strategies. She brings a calm, thoughtful and practical approach to helping children engage, participate and build confidence.

    Megan Kennedy

    AUTISM SPECIALIST

    Megan has more than 15 years’ experience supporting children and young people, including over seven years in autism-specific settings. She has previously worked with Autism Queensland, including within its early intervention programs.

    Megan is passionate about helping children feel encouraged, connected and that they belong. She has a particular interest in supporting growth mindset and flexible thinking, and uses a warm, strengths-based approach to help children build confidence and engage in new experiences.

    Lisa Raines

    AUTISM SPECIALIST

    Lisa has extensive experience supporting autistic children and children with a range of communication, developmental and learning needs. She has undertaken postgraduate study in autism and brings strong knowledge of individualised communication and behaviour-support approaches.

    Lisa has experience using PECS, PODD, Proloquo2Go and Auslan, alongside a range of visual and communication supports. She also has a strong understanding of the NDIS and has supported families to better understand and navigate the system.

    Kelli Richards

    SUPPORT ASSISTANT

    Kelli is a highly experienced and intuitive professional who brings warmth, energy and genuine care to every interaction. She has an exceptional ability to build trusting relationships with children, understand their individual needs and create an environment where they feel safe, valued and ready to participate.

    Kelli skilfully uses children’s interests to support engagement, extend learning and strengthen confidence. She has particular strengths in sensory support, emotional regulation and proactive behaviour support, and is a deeply valued member of the AAA team.

    Meg Van Staden

    PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST & SUPPORT ASSISTANT

    Meg holds an Honours degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Counselling and is completing her pathway toward general registration as a psychologist. She also brings valuable experience from her previous work as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.

    Meg is passionate about helping children better understand themselves, develop emotional regulation skills and build confidence in their abilities. She brings warmth, curiosity and insight to her work and is skilled at identifying the needs underlying a child’s behaviour and providing thoughtful, individualised support.

    Jacinta Marles

    SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

    Jacinta is an experienced speech pathologist who is passionate about building connection and engagement as the foundation for communication development. She works closely with each child to understand their individual communication profile, strengths and goals.

    Jacinta recognises that communication skills need to be meaningful and transferable beyond individual sessions. She enjoys collaborating with families, educators and other professionals to support children to communicate, participate and advocate for themselves across the different areas of their lives.

    Jacinta has completed extensive professional development in neuro-affirming practice, language development, executive functioning, motor speech, literacy and augmentative and alternative communication. Her training includes Hanen More Than Words, Floortime, Natural Language Acquisition, the Nuffield Programme, PECS, Proloquo2Go, LAMP and Sounds-Write.
